چکیده
This paper contains two results concerning the spectral decomposition, in a broad sense, of space nondegenerate Hermitian matrices over local field characteristic zero. The first is an explicit Plancherel decomposition associated L2 thus confirming conjecture Sakellaridis-Venkatesh this particular case. second formula for multiplicities generic representations p-adic case that extends previous work Feigon-Lapid-Offen. Both are stated terms Arthur-Clozel's quadratic base-change and proofs based on analogs relative trace formulas previously studied by Jacquet Ye known as (relative) Kuznetsov formulas.

Hermitian Matrices, Eigenvalue Multiplicities, and Eigenvector Components
Given an n-by-n Hermitian matrix A and a real number λ, index i is said to be Parter (resp. neutral, downer) if the multiplicity of λ as an eigenvalue of A(i) is one more (resp. the same, one less) than that in A. In case the multiplicity of λ in A is at least 2 and the graph of A is a tree, there are always Parter vertices. Our purpose here is to advance the classification of vertices and, in ...
متن کاملCongruence of Hermitian Matrices by Hermitian Matrices
Two Hermitian matrices A, B ∈ Mn(C) are said to be Hermitian-congruent if there exists a nonsingular Hermitian matrix C ∈ Mn(C) such that B = CAC. In this paper, we give necessary and sufficient conditions for two nonsingular simultaneously unitarily diagonalizable Hermitian matrices A and B to be Hermitian-congruent. Moreover, when A and B are Hermitian-congruent, we describe the possible iner...
متن کاملUnitary Matrices and Hermitian Matrices
Unitary Matrices and Hermitian Matrices Recall that the conjugate of a complex number a + bi is a − bi. The conjugate of a + bi is denoted a+ bi or (a+ bi)∗. In this section, I’ll use ( ) for complex conjugation of numbers of matrices. I want to use ( )∗ to denote an operation on matrices, the conjugate transpose. Thus, 3 + 4i = 3− 4i, 5− 6i = 5 + 6i, 7i = −7i, 10 = 10. Complex conjugation sati...
متن کاملThe plancherel formula for sl(2) over a local field.
More than two decades ago, in his classical paper on the irreducible unitary representations of the Lorentz group, V. Bargmann initiated the concrete study of Fourier analysis on real Lie groups and obtained the analogue of the classical Fourier expansion theorem in the case of the Lorentz group. Since then the general theory for real semisimple Lie groups has been extensively developed, chiefl...
